MDRXLaw is pleased to share a new professional initiative from our healthcare law practice designed to support physicians at the start of their careers. Each year, newly graduating residents and fellows enter employment arrangements and clinical environments that present complex legal and regulatory considerations, often without access to clear guidance on issues that may affect them long term. In response, our firm is offering complimentary educational legal guidance sessions for physicians who are graduating this year or who completed training within the past 12 months. These brief virtual sessions are intended to provide early-career physicians with an overview of key areas that commonly create risk or confusion, including:
Understanding employment agreement provisions that may affect mobility, compensation, and termination rights
Restrictive covenants, practice transition limitations and buy-in provisions
Basic documentation practices that can later carry compliance implications
The physician’s role and exposure in billing and supervision structure
Distinctions between employee and independent contractor arrangements in healthcare These sessions are educational in nature and designed to help physicians recognize issues that may warrant further review, not to replace full legal representation where needed.
We welcome you to share this resource with any graduating residents, fellows, or early-career physicians who may benefit. Appointments are conducted virtually and scheduled in advance.
To request a session, physicians may contact reception@mdrxlaw.com or call or text us at 212.668.0200.
